This is a 115 megapixel, 20 hand-held shot panorama of the incredible orange sky as seen from Herriman, Utah just moments before the sun rose of the powerful Rocky Mountains in late November 2016.
=====================
The post-processing steps:
1) Imported the photos into Lightroom
2) Applied lens correction to each of the 20 photos
3) Merged the 20 photos to a single DNG using Lightroom
4) Adjusted highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, vibrance, saturation
5) Added an adjustment brush to the sky, allowing auto-mask to not bleed the brush into the foreground then adjusted the highlights, shadows, contrast, white balance (more yellow), and noise reduction
6) Added an adjustment brush to the foreground, allowing the auto-mask to prevent it from bleeding into the sky then adjusted the highlights, shadows, contrast, and white balance (more blue).
7) Sent the photo to Photoshop and did some spot healing to remove distracting elements, then did some dodging and burning to emphasize the highlights and the shadows
8) Went back to Lightroom and exported the image to JPEG at 77% quality.
